"Coach Talk" Week 4

We caught up with the Head Coach Hunter Adams for his thoughts on last weeks 47-20 loss to the #2 ranked Dadeville Tigers, as well as his thoughts on this weeks match up against the #3 ranked Central Clay Vols....

1) There are a lot of positives to take away from the Dadeville game, as a youngteam it is important the we accentuate the positives. You take 7 plays out of
that game, all of which were self-inflicted mistakes on our part, and it is a
one-sided game in our favor. We played with great resolve and never submitted in
the face of a large deficit. the 1st four minutes were catastrophic and it would
have been very easy to give up and lose by 50. Instead we bounced back and moved
the football as well as making some big plays defensively. Jarmal Kendrick had
an all-star caliber night with 232 all purpose yards and 7 tackles.

2) This weeks practices have been limited by a rash of injuries that have
depleted what little depth we had as a team, and more so than ever we will
require some young and inexperienced players to step up in major roles Friday
night. We have a HUGE challenge coming to Holtville in the form of Central-Clay
High School. They are large, physical, deep, and athletic. I expect us to play
our best game of the season.
